Friends of Yavapai County ARES RACES, Inc is a 501(c)(3) Arizona Nonprofit Corporation and fund raising partner of Yavapai County ARES/RACES which supports the Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management

We are a dedicated, solution-oriented volunteer group of amateur radio operators assisting the Yavapai County, AZ, Office of Emergency Management (YC OEM) in establishing and maintaining emergency radio communications and communications infrastructure. We assist YC OEM with tasks it does not have the county-wide infrastructure or funds to accomplish during incidents requiring emergency communications.

Our volunteers provide much of the communications equipment used in time of disasters which is, for the most, part paid for out-of-pocket. While the county provides some support from its annual budget, we must compete with other county priority needs which unfortunately isn’t enough to allow us to provide communications coverage for a county of 8218 square miles. Your donation will help us provide a comprehensive communications infrastructure over an area with ecosystems of Sonoran Desert ringed and bisected by 7000+ foot mountains.

We seek funding for communications infrastructure beyond the scope of individual members and not available from the YC OEM operating budget through membership dues, equipment and monetary donations and government and private grants.

Please consider making a donation to help us expand our emergency communication capabilities and further our role of assisting the Office of Emergency Management.

Your contribution is tax deductible as provided by IRS regulations for contributions to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. A confirmation letter will be provided for each donation received. Check with your tax professional to insure proper filing for your tax situation.
